Hotels in Uptown - Upper Duval

"The breakfast was less than expected, nothing cooked fresh, mixed fruit in a bowl that all tasted like cantelope and pre pkgd boiled eggs. Coffee machine worked well. Hot tub and heated pool was awesome. Stairs leading up to our room were straight up and very narrow. Coming down was treacherous, i even fell down them the 1st time. Very difficult to get luggage up and down. Had to park a block away and was still charged $25 a night for packing! Location is great at this place, right next to Duvall"

"We had a lovely room, upstairs, in the white house, overlooking the ocean. Gorgeous! Pool was lovely. It was busy, being right next to the hot picture spot, the buoy. I would have like to see more protein at breakfast, otherwise that was pleasant. Add some hooks in the room to hang hats and such..."

"One more thing to love about Key West!!! Casa Marina! The beach walk out was amazing. The adult pool was great. The service on the beach and by the pool was amazing! One of my favorite things was the afternoon popsicle delivery to the beach. It was a special extra touch! Easy walk to Duval Street and Southern most statue."

"I’m really disappointed with my stay overall, especially considering the additional costs and expectations set by the hotel. We were charged a $50 per night resort fee plus parking, yet a large portion of the resort was closed off due to ongoing work. Most of the seating areas—aside from around the bar and pool—were unavailable, with yellow tape and signs everywhere. This was not mentioned at any point before arrival or even at check-in, and the current state of the property does not match the photos used for booking. When I asked staff about the work, I was told it would be completed the day after we leave, which only added to the frustration. Communication from staff was also lacking. After being asked via text how our room was, I shared my concerns and only received a brief “thank you” in response, with no attempt to address the issues. The room itself had several problems. The air conditioning has a mind of its own—it turns on during the night even when switched off, making the room uncomfortably cold. On our second night, strong winds caused mesh panels outside to bang loudly throughout the night and into the day. I both texted and called about this, it was eventually sorted. Additionally, the fire alarm light next to the bed flashed all night, which made it difficult to sleep. There is also virtually no soundproofing between rooms—we could clearly hear the TV and conversations from next door."

"Rooms had some maintenance/ repair issues. While breakfast was good, dinner choices limited. Multiple pools; all small and in a row. Service staff was excellent. Not quite up to the expectations from viewing the website."
