Hotels in Cape May Historic District

"Our room had to be moved because of a barking dog. Not the hotels fault, but an inconvenience to us. Otherwise our stay was good. They are going thru a management change, so we get there are bumps in the road. We are considering another stay later this year. Hopefully things will improve. The breakfast can use some improvement. Maybe add an extra protein like cooked eggs or bacon or sausage on the side. Like I said, things can move forward. Otherwise not a bad stay at all. We can recommend some staying here."

"I have stayed at other hotels which had waffles n pancakes. The breakfast was in a very clean area but no variety. The staff was friendly we had a tv problem and it was taking care of immediately. I will definitely stay again !!!"

"We wanted to rest and relax in the jacuzzi but found there was floating mud and someone's hair we told the front desk manager that there was hair floating in the water. He promised to sort it out and said that the hair would be removed. When we came to the jacuzzi after a couple of hours and climbed into it we saw the same dirt and the same hair floating in the water, which I think is unacceptable, in addition the jacuzzi has sticky tape parts that looks not attractive and unsafe to use. Also the room we rented had cracks and the place looks old and in need of repair in my opinion."

"When making reservations for the Chalfonte hotel during the off season, be aware you are not staying in the actual hotel. The reservations are for their winter accommodations next door. It is a small hotel with staff available by phone. There was no daily maid service during my stay.It was clean and comfortable and quiet. Parking is on the street only."

"The rooms were great. I had a ocean view. Part of the restaurant there blocked a small amount of the view. I didn't mind it . And I was aware of this when booking. Great place "

"Place was way out of date very small,AC unit worked but was very noisy. Charged a 14.99 cleaning resort fee which is outrageous. That fee made this hotel more expensive then a nicer one they don't tell u about this fee until you check in. BEWARE!"
