"The hotel was excellent however we had prepaid for a queen size bed and they offered us an upgrade to a larger room for a nominal fee however it had two single beds not a queen. Great location and shopping nearby."

"Clean rooms"

"Easy location to walk to once you arrive to Kyoto station - even with suitcases and backpacks. No cab needed as it’s barely a five minute walk. Breakfast in my opinion is a case of quantity over quality and I’ve preferred the breakfast at other places we stayed where there is not as much variety but it’s high quality. In saying that, I take my hat off to the chefs who prepare so much food every day for all the guests. It would be literally impossible to deliver that much food at a high quality so it’s definitely not a criticism of their efforts. The onsen was extremely busy so not as relaxing as I’d expected so only went once during our five night stay, which was a shame. The massage chairs are a great addition as an alternative and the hot drinks were great to have available all the time. Very glad we included this hotel to get a slightly more authentic Japanese experience, but was very glad to see a more familiar bed and pillow once we got to Osaka. Extremely hectic hotel in a convenient location and the staff do a great job of keeping it in order. If you want a great place to eat try the Gyukatsu Kyoto that’s a two minute walk down the road. Amazing beef!"

"This is a fantastic property in walking distance to Asakusa tourist attractions to visit during the day and also see it at night in lights. The Ginza line stations is right outside which is super convenient. Very spacious room for 4-5 people and very newly done. Laundry is int he room so very convenient. Kitchen is very well equipped. People who want to stay in Asakusa should look no further. There is also a 7/11 in 2 minutes walk. Highly recommend for tourists looking for convenience and want to be in Asakusa. It has direct train to main areas but going to Shibuya takes 30 minutes."

"The onsen is a great feature after a long walk. There were no facial skin care in the room like the other hotels in Japan. The sink is within the room so you will hear anyone brushing their teeth or blow drying."
