"The resort itself is very well maintained and clean - too efficient in cleaning that it constantly has wet floors everywhere (and full of cleaning staff) and rooms being fixed at 9 pm (I will get into this later in this review). Overall: very up to par for JW Marriott group resort for the view, location and architect itself. Has only 2 pools (both quite small) - one by the main desk is full of all inclusive drunk party groups all day long and the other pool is somewhat quieter but lots of kids. they also have bungalows by the beach and part of the beach front is shared with a public access - but doesn't get too busy or crowed. Has beautiful gardens and views of the whole PV and the sunset is amazing every night. There are 4 or 5 upscale restaurants - we only tried Gaviotas for my husband's bday. There is starbucks inside the resort and a very small gym. Not a lot of entertainment compared to other all inclusive resorts. The location is pretty good - 15 min cab ride from the airport, 5 min walk to the Malecon and close to residential areas across the street where you can find cheap and really good tacos. Staff are friendly (most of the times) - Orlando from our breakfast buffet is the best overall - he is just happy and genuine person - he always greeted us with excitement and remembers what we usually order and very attentive (compared to other dinning staff). "I spent too much money for nothing, our room was so terrible, dirty and smelly. There was some Cockroach in the bathroom….!!! Last day , even they didn’t clean the room at all, after 3 times complaining, finally they changed the room….!!! I didn’t enjoyed at all."

"We just spend 11 relaxing days and wish we could have stayed longer, the gardens are beautiful, well maintained, bird fling by and chirping - a beautiful Oasis in Mexico! The staff was excellent, Yes it is a bit rustic , the hotel was built in the 1950’s that gives it the charm. Very friendly helpful staff, we found that they are always smiling , OLA, they were happy to help you. And the buffet food was good fresh fruit and vegetables and a variety of many other dishes and the deserts - cakes and cookies 😋 OMG the Breakfast French toast was exceptional plus the omelette grill ! Saturday night Mexican Festa dinner was excellent plus that night singer , she was very enjoyable to listen too. The restaurant offers an excellent 3 course menu to choice from ( this is included with your room but there is limited # of seating, you have to make reservations first thing in the morning for that evening ) you could also purchase other meals there . It is not your high end party resort with loud music , activities and attraction's to keep you busy . It was perfect for us to relax , swim in the pool and enjoy the sunshine 😎lol plus the bar and snack bar Also, we made new friends , we met a lot from Calgary Albert area and Vancouver BC Metro area , we plan to meet next year when we go back Nice enjoyable music played all day. Also your TV had a few English TV stations -we don’t miss a hockey playoff game . Yes we would recommend this to anyone who wants to relax"

"What a breath of fresh air. We did not have good accomodations at Crown Paradise Golden and was transferred free of any charges to Friendly Fun Vallarta. Friendly Fun was clean, well lit, the staff was attentive and very professional. Our room was clean, no gnats. There were several bars and restaurants to serve you. The adult side was very clean and low key, hardly any adults in the area, they were all with kids on the otherside. Morning coffee bars had all sorts of coffees and teas along with danishes and sweets. This is open all day and evening. The buffet changed up items daily. The pasta dishes and local dishes were excellent. Food could have been a bit hotter if you did not order off of the grill. Excellent omelets every morning. Several pools and many cabanas were there for you to enjoy, No need to worry about not getting a lounger or cabana, there were many. Located very close to the Malcone art center with a large walking path along the bay, has many stores, trinkets, jewelry, food and beverages to enjoy. Had a great time."

"The view from the hotel was beautiful - directly looking into the ocean. Located about 20 mins by car to the airport and about 15 mins to downtown; however there is very little going on in that part of the city (mostly industrial). For the all inclusive, the restaurants are not great and the selection is limited each day. The only buffet is Sunday dinner. Overall the resort is quite small and has limited on site amenities. The main pool is nice and had a swim up bar but the service ends by 6 (sooner on Sundays). The adult only pool is extremely small and one of the jacuzzis was not working while I was there. There was a gym and kids zone as well. The spa, which costs money, has great staff, as do the pool bar and service. Not a bad stay for a quiet vacation but most entertainment and activities are off site / for a cost. We ended up leaving the resort for 3 of our 5 days to make the trip more exciting but this made the all inclusive purchase less worthwhile. The resort has almost no activities after 6 pm so it gets really quiet after then. There is a lobby bar but that’s it for late night activities. The staff are very friendly and kind but the front desk will try to get you to do a viewing of the new construction / up sell you on the more expensive excursions."

"All was well besides one of the workers almost harassing us regarding having breakfast so they can show other properties. We had to dodge her at all times she was very aggressive trying to get us to have that breakfast. I repeatedly said no but that didn’t matter. Everytime we saw her she tried being annoying. Please respect the NO and not be bothering guest "
