"This is an excellent hotel for the price <£100. Everything is new, clean and works. The public areas are nice, the bar is excellent and the food was great. It’s very convenient for the train station and there is decent parking available nearby"

"Great stay again at this property. We were here for 2 nights for the ice hockey play offs. We had booked 2 rooms and the lovely gentleman on reception kindly upgraded us to executive rooms and accommodated our request for one of them to be made into a twin."

"We stayed at this Radisson again as we attend the Donington race meetings. The hotel is fine, price reasonable, but the £15 charge to park your car overnight is steep - and obviously aimed at those going on holiday from East Midlands airport. Frustrating as we are just parking overnight as we attend two days at Donington Park circuit. We use the lobby bar, but we don't use the Runway restaurant anymore (we go into Castle Donington). Hotel rooms are ok, but the 'hum' droning noise from the airconditioning or whatever it is in the bathroom is not welcome. It has been going on for a long time (we stay here maybe three times a year). So keep the toilet and bathroom doors shut. But the hotel is a handy location and does the job."

"Used the hotel prior to a trip to Donnington Park motor racing circuit (handily placed). Parking was a little tight in the narrow bays. Hotel was clean and bright. Room was clean and well presented. Bed was neat and fresh. Bathroom was dated but shower was good. Staff were friendly and very attentive (reception desk and restaurant). Decided to have evening meal in restaurant but regretted it, instantly. We ordered ‘crispy squid’ and chicken burger. The squid was barely warm and was just a greasy coating with a horrible rubbery filler. Tasteless. I had to decant my first mouthful into the supplied napkin. We sent the food back immediately and were told we could claim a refund at reception (processed without a fuss). Our next course, the chicken burger was, merely, edible. The accompanying fries tasted as though they had been cooked with our starter squid in old oil and then left to sit for a while before being served. Rock hard with minimal potato content. We ate the chicken and left everything else on the plate. £62.85, thank you very much. I have to say, I was embarrassed for our waiter, George H, who had to bring this from the kitchen and serve it to us. He was a very polite and nice chap. All said and done, I would use the hotel again, but would definitely eat elsewhere."

"All change at the Buxton Crescent, so be careful what is and isn't included in your booking. Have stayed here many times B&B to take advantage of the Pools and to some extent, Spa facilities. After the takeover by Champneys, access to these is no longer included if you book through a third party or if you only book B&B with the hotel directly. Then there's a charge of £40pp to access pool and spa. Which seems steep to me. To access pool and spa within your booked price, you need to book dinner, and B&B directly with the hotel. Hope that's helpful. As a reminder, it remains a great hotel in a great location - which is why we've stayed several times before. May need to reconsider future occasions though."

"Room spacious and amenities were great. Had to book a slot for swimming. The menu for the bar/restaurant is limited and I personally wouldnt eat there again due to this. Both evenings friday / Saturday there was only one member of staff on the bar which caused delays so would have been better if they had more staff on but appreciate there was events on both nights. This does cause parking to become a nightmare. However overall the cleanliness of the room, how friendly staff are and proximity to the festival retail park means I would return."
