"The staff might just be the friendliest in Great Britain. It made the stay a delight and we used the great conservatory space to watch a Christmas movie with our little one. Great food and great beer/wine. You need a car to access all the local things (Runswick Bay/Whitby/Scarborough/Moors) but we will come back each year as we love it. "

"Very welcoming, clean, comfortable and modern. We had a really nice room with direct access to a patio with great views. Near to Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and the moors. Parking was good. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. We should have stayed longer. We will return."

"A fabulous place to stay to explore Whitby, explore the area and coastal walks. Facilities clean and tidy, great on-site cafe and the local town is walkable, albeit uphill on the return. And superb views of Whitby Abbey on the YHA doorstep. "

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. "

"Wow and WOW! What an absolutely amazing experience. From the check in with Debbie, the room and facilities, to the breakfast and check out, it was an absolute dream. (Sorry I didn’t catch the young ladies name when I checked out) I had requested a bottle of bubby which was waiting on ice for us on arrival. The suite was spotless, and couldn’t ask for more. The spa bath was fabulous and indulgent. This is really a place that needs a visit and I’m so excited to be returning later in the year....

"We had a lovely two day break at the Buck. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The room was lovely, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
