"We would highly recommend this hotel. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Breakfast was plentiful and all freshly cooked. Our room was spacious, and very close to the spa, late afternoon swims and relaxing in the sauna and steam room was a luxury. We ate each evening in the dining room lots of choice, staff were very attentive and food was delicious. "

"Struggled to full stand in the bedroom as far as I'm aware it didn't mention this room was on a slope, both me and my partner are tallish but didn't expect to have to duck our whole time in the room "

"Our room was lovely with a hot tub on the terrace. However the terrace needed cleaning and although we mentioned this it didn’t happen. The shower over the bath was difficult to get in & out . Side of bath very high & water was difficult to balance. Again we mentioned this but it stayed the same. When I booked I requested a walk- in shower. I was told I’d need to upgrade& pay more. I was entitled to an upgrade but it didn’t happen. There was a problem on the first morning with breakfast - burnt toast. & overdone eggs. When we told them the hotel were most apologetic & the next day it was perfect. Also they arranged a free boat trip for us. & adjusted our bill so we felt that they had done all they could to rectify the situation . It’s a beautiful hotel & if we hadn’t had the few hiccups it would have been 5 stars all the way. The Spa was excellent. "

"Check in staff very helpful. Bathroom not as clean as it should be for a property like this, shower head covered in brown gunk, dirt under rim of toilet and glasses covered in dust. The shower nearly flooded as soon as I turned it on. The kettle was bashed and going rusty. Overall fine for a night but if staying more than one day there is no where to hang towels to dry. The breakfast was sufficient but confusing as there was no one to explain or check me off a list!! "

"Staff were very helpful; room was a good size and was clean. Bathroom had everything we needed. Breakfast was really lovely - great choice for everyone! Decent choice of food and the bar seemed to cater for all tastes."

"Rooms and shared areas are spotless. The staff are fantastic and lovely to deal with. The hotel is a little tired, but the cleanliness and staff more than make up for it. "
