The listing on Hotels.com (and a paper sign inside the room itself) advertise the hotel as having ‘free on site parking’. The property does not have parking. So I spent 4 days having to musical chairs my car around the car parks of Alnwick so as to not get a ticket. This is false advertising, and I wouldn’t have booked if the venue was honest about the parking situation.

Staff here were lovely, but the room and facilities were in bad condition- our shower leaked through to the pub downstairs, there was no grout on the bathroom floor tiles. The staff were really friendly and helpful and moved us into another room. This room was fine but things felt unfinished or of poor quality here too- the shower door here didn’t fully close to seal etc. There were also things missing would expect to see in this price range such as hooks in the bathroom, biscuits with tea and coffees etc. overall a nice stay, great location, and some nice features but not the quality you would expect with the price paid
