I don't do reviews. Well....apart from this one that is. I arrived to find the place locked up and a notice saying "opening soon" and it wasn't kidding. It turned out that it was literally opening that day and the next morning (after a good nights sleep) I found that the place had been transformed by Martin and his wife working all night until 4.30 am, bless them. And the hotel? Ah yes - plenty of free parking, quiet rooms, a great breakfast, very convenient for Keele University and ideal for stopping off the M6 between Manchester and Birmingham. I wish Martin & co all the best in their venture and, like General MacArthur, I shall return.

Nice room, shame about the ensuite
The room was nice and spacious with a good sized double bed although mattress wasnt as comfy as it looked.
The ensuite was built into the corner of the room and was quite small, and when having a shower, the floor would become flooded. This would explain the damp smell when entering.

Wonderful hosts - everyone was friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Quiet location and a spacious room - I slept well here. Free WiFi worked well for email and general web browsing (I didn't try anything more demanding). Plenty of free parking.
Great value for money.
I'd have no hesitation in staying here again.
