First room given shower didn’t work permanently cold water that cascaded not from the shower head but out the side and bottom of the heating unit- window would not shut it was warped - second room was better but as with the first room dome light bulbs were missing or blown - breakfast which had a very positive mention on the hotel website was awful!!! No milk for the cereals or coffee no butter for toast no croissants as advertised all in all a shocking hotel and I wouldn’t want to stay there again!!!

Was on reception was very polite and had no problem with my early check in. The room was spacious and clean. The corridor was smelly - someone was or had been smoking in their room. The breakfast room was adequate with a good range of cereals, toast and coffee. There was a boiler - but no teabags for tea. Overall a good nights stay at a great price.

The location was excellent. I needed somewhere to break my journey walking along the towpath of the Trent-Mersey canal, and this motel is only a mile north of the canal, at the midway point between the Anderton Boat Lift and the end of the canal at Preston Brook. I don't think I would have been able to complete the walk without its being where it is. Facilities were good (like an Extended Stay property, with a kitchen; bed was comfortable; convenience shop nearby was a bonus.

Bathroom was shabby and no hot water could be found in the sink but the room was clean and mattress comfortable. The blind in the room was broken so more light came in than was kept out but didnt bother me much. Staff was friendly and accomodating however the place stunk of weed but it isnt 5 star so downsides expeted
