Lovely hotel though frustratingly nowhere to put your wash bag in the bathrooms or to sit in front a mirror to do your hair (so many hotels guilty of this). Staff are really great. We had a problem that was immediately resolved.

The room was excellent 👌 lovely and warm! Furnishings were delightful. Bathroom was lovely with both bath and shower. Food was lovely for both of the evenings that we stayed with lots of choices. Beer on tap in the bar was excellent especially if you're a badgers brewery fan which I am.

Parking is free and unlimited and opposite the hotel.. unusual in that the hotel is above a pub/reataurant.. There is a lift to all floors and AC in the room. Old fashioned key for the room door, which needs to be locked on exit Tea and coffee making with biscuits in the room and a good shower with a detachable head

The room was warm and a good size, although I cant understand why the shower area would be so disproportionately small. It was fairly clean. Breakfast was fine, although to call it a 'buffet' is a bit of a stretch. Filter coffee, half a dozen stale croissants and a couple of yogurts. The cooked breakfast element was however much better and I would recommend it. As a dog owner I had to sit downstairs rather than with the other guests upstairs, 'buffet' and staff - I had to order from the bar. I must admit I felt a bit of an inconvenience to the staff doing so. I felt the overall tone of the establishment is that the customer is an inconvenience, not just in the downbeat demeanour of the staff (check in, bar and serving, but in the corporate culture of the place. Ordering dinner and drinks via QR code feels a bit Wetherspoons when youre charging upwards of £20 for a meal and £7 a pint and I cant see any clear justification for it.

Rooms a lovely, if a bit warm. Lovely and characterful - which is impressive for a building which is only 10 or so years old. Only slight downside was the food at night. Which was a bit average. But as a hotel, for the price you pay, can’t fault it

Lovely staff, very friendly. Great food whether eating a Bar Snack or main meal in the restaurant. Room was very clean, only one very minor snag was that we felt it could do with better lighting, the room seemed quite dark and made it difficult to read

Lovely great looking hotel in Poundbury. Easy parking and nice bar area and dining room. Food choice limited in restaurant. Too much fried food, cheesy mash and lack of choice. House wine was out of stock so surprise they offered one £10 more expensive. Cheese board, would not do for one which was strange as all other puddings for one.
