We stayed here 4 years ago and still love it. The reception staff were great, we asked for a room with a bath and were accommodated. The room was large & well equipped, bed was huge and comfortable. The towels have improved greatly since our last visit, large & soft. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and although the menu is small the food was hot and tasty. Maisey was a great host. One of the greatest assets of this hotel is its location right next to Sheringham Park, access is easy and we spent a lovely hour walking one of the paths. The grounds in general are lovely. Breakfast has improved since our last visit too. Great continental buffet, the fruit salad was one of the best I’ve had. The cooked breakfast was hot & delicious. Again service by Maisey was great. We will gladly return!

The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Anniversary present

Our overnight stay was an anniversary gift from our 3 sons, along with dinner on the Steam Train from Sheringham to Holt. Disabled access and nearby car parking were very useful and breakfast was excellent. Staff were helpful and the location was peaceful with beautiful grounds.

Very good stay, one let down was we ordered a coffee in the bar, but never got it! We later noticed we were charged for it, must have been a staff mix up! That said, staff were great. Lovely place, easy to access Sheringham Park which provdes a wondedful walk.

Hidden Gem in Upper Sheringham

We booked a long bank holiday weekend at the very last minute and were not disappointed. Very tranquil location so the town isn't really walkable unless you are super fit although only minutes from town in a car. But the hotel more than made up for that. Very traditional which made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't fault the room. Very comfortable Super kingsize bed in quite a large room, which also had a fabulous bathroom. We only had breakfast one morning but they had a great selection of hot and cold options. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we were out exploring but the meals we saw others enjoying looked amazing. If we are ever in that neck of the woods again, we would most certainly stay here again.
