Make sure they have confirmed your payment in person. I receive the email confirming my payment and room code. The next morning I was woken up early because they didn’t have my payment. By the time I dress and walked to the reception area with my cc, they had the confirmation. They apologized and gave me a “fancy coffee” on the house.

I stayed in the regular room, The room is small and I really felt icky in it. I’ve stayed in many less savory hotels but this one I felt kind of disgusted the whole time. There aren’t many options in the area so it may be your only option but consider this a heads up for what to expect.

This place can be called "rustic." The room is tiny, but functional. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed. But the location is awesome! Just minutes from Kings Canyon. A longer drive to Sequoia. Surrounded by the foothills of the Sierras. Gena is a delight, the restaurant is great.

The room was in good condition and the check in process was very easy. There was a winter storm and we were left without heat and power for 8 hours in February. The bed had warm blankets to keep us warm enough through the cold night and the staff was kind and took our call at midnight when the power went out and did their best to reassure us and kept us informed as they heard from electric company repair teams. The location is somewhat remote, but very accessible to the Kings Canyon National Park.

I love that this room didn’t smell like cigarettes & it was clean. I did dislike that we had to keep the light on in order to watch TV. All streaming apps were working fine, the internet did stop working around 11pm on the Roku. We restarted the Roku and the internet came back. Lastly, I didn’t see this on their page but they charge $10.50 to use the laundromat and their kitchen per day. Just a little fyi. Can’t wait to come back and try their family rooms!!!

I stayed in the creekside cabin, which was a wonderful for some privacy and a little extra space. It's a cozy room, but big enough for a few folks. I was traveling solo for a job in Kings Canyon and loved the solitude with green nature out the door, and a good space to do yoga while looking out on the landscape. Keep in mind, there isn't much to cook with other than a microwave, so plan accordingly. Beyond that, I had a lovely time in this space.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Pay the extra $50 or drive the extra ten miles to stay somewhere else, believe me. It was easily the worst place we've ever stayed at and we are budget travelers that have gone to National Parks last minute (meaning super limited stays). The room is really small and the layout is really weird, not ideal but not really a problem. But when we walked in at 6pm (check in starts at 3 or 4) the shower and the area surrounding it were wet, first red flag. The furniture is weird, old and clunky, the beds are super uncomfortable and the fabric of the sheets and pillowcases was like cardboard, it's a budget hotel so understandable I wasn't expecting silk sheets on a down bed, but I was also not expecting such incredibly low quality. All of that could've been let go, BUT the sheets were FILTHY and so was the floor, and the roof looked like it was about to fall on you (I have pictures). Absolutely disgusting. The check in process was ok because they just have electric locks with a code. What they spent on that could've been spent on improving the actual room. We went to the next door restaurant and waited an hour for burgers that never came. Overall a horrible experience, I get that you're looking at this hotel for cheapness/closeness, but please do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 or 15 minutes

I wanted to love this place but my room didn't live up to my exoecations. The light near the heater wouldn't turn off without unscrewing the bulb, which I couldn't reach, so I slept pretty terribly. The floor on the side of the bed by the window was soaked and sticky. The outlets were all near the floor, which given the wetness, was concerning. The bed was old and I felt the springs. The shower head in the shower was too high and the shower too small to not have it hit me right in my face. The shower pan was fkexing, as was the bathroom floor, which was soaked after I got out even though the shower curtain was inside the shower. So I have no idea where. The water came from. I did my best to clean it up. And all night, something was digging in the walls/outside, and I could hear every car pass as if I was sleeping on the shoulder of the road. I would avoid booking the cheaper row of rooms right next to the restaurant (which was delicious, despite my stay experience) and try for the other stays they offer, as those seemed to be a bit better. Also, when I left at 6am, I was surprised by lion roar from the park nearby. Nothing if not a unique experience.

Room 2 the shower didn’t work at all. Rooms are so close together you can hear everything especially if they have animals I couldn’t sleep. The heater worked but smelled like gas. Was a mediocre experience. Also the restaurant was not good. The burger was better than anything. Staff was not it as well. Overall the worst experience so far.
