This was listed/rated as a 3-star All Inclusive resort. our 5 day stay there was a 3 star stay, so we were not disappointed.
The registration was slow, but OK. The room very small, but clean. The bathroom had a nice shower with good pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable. The room could definitely use a renovation/update, but was 3-star worthy.
The grounds were well kept, but dated and would have been really nice in 1979 when built.
The food was plentiful and good; that said, get to meals early as they don't generally restock on a timely basis, at least. Get there early to "The Palms" to get the best selection.
The Pizza Factory service was outstanding. Food was good with a limited menu. It's not all pizza.
The entertainment was worthy of "older" guests...not a nightclub atmosphere. Relaxing.
The beach was truly magnificent.
Most of the staff were 3-star...adequate. Accommodating but not overly or outwardly friendly. Except at the Pizza factory, where everyone we encountered was superb. The 2 waterfront attendants lack personality and did not seem to enjoy work.
Staff at Coconut Grill and the adjacent bar were good...but maybe a bit overworked, or, at least, not in any hurry to do their job.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider going back. If you want a super attentive 5-star contemporary extremely well kept resort...this is not it. It's serviceable, clean, and value driven. It's not bad at all, but manage expectations.
