The front desk staff was very unhelpful upon check in. Check in time was at 4 pm and we arrived then. They told us they were unsure when our room was going to be available and we had to wait until we got a text. I have never been at a hotel when it was check in time and the room was not available.

Let’s start with the 1 hour check in line. There were 2 front desk employees working, with guests lined to exit doors. The staff were very friendly so can’t blame them for being understaffed. That is on management, especially during spring break! Stayed multiple times at Kalahari and they have full staffing front desk plus Kiosks to self check in! Room was not clean. Found hair in bathroom and food on carpet. Stains on wall. When you check in, there is a number to text for any questions or concerns. I texted multiple times during our 4 night stay and nobody responded. Tried calling front desk and nobody answered. They charge you $25 a night to park your own vehicle? I asked before we went if there was enough parking and was reassured they counted how many overnight guests to parking spots reserved for them. You had to drive around every time you went out, for 30 mins to an hour, to get a parking spot. That’s because they admitted nobody was enforcing the day guests were parking in the reserved parking area for overnight guests. And again, they bill $25 per night for self parking?? There were also some very aggressive drivers cutting off people waiting for a spot. The indoor water park is much smaller and outdated, compared to the newer Kalahari. The snow tubing was fun and the pricing was good! No long wait during the weekday and very nice setup. I called multiple times during our stay and after, to speak with a manager and they never returned my calls.

Room had other peoples clothes in our drawers. Dead ladybugs everywhere. Sink and back of sink were atrocious. No towels. No toilet paper and the toilet paper in the one room was broken. The one room we tried to have out kids sleep in the door handle stayed locked wouldn’t unlock ( super unsafe). The lines for food were outrageous like one person taking orders and one person making the food. Lines must have been 40 people long. The line to check in took 2 and 1/2 hours so make sure you don’t plan on doing a lot the first day.

The rooms weren’t the cleanest. Areas of the room had cobwebs, residue from might have been from wear and tear in high traffic areas of the room. It felt like your resort is understaffed. As for breakfast and overall options, most of your menu choices weren’t available.

There were no bags in the trash cans and the hand soap and conditioner were almost empty when we first got there. I had to call 2 times for more hand soap before it was brought. Walls were a little bit thin and we could hear a kid screaming next door from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Otherwise room was clean and comfortable and the view was awesome. The breakfast buffet was really impressive and delicious, but it's not included in the cost of the room and is expensive. Plus you're serving yourself all the food except for the beverages, which a waiter has to bring to you, and then you must give a tip, 18%, which they include in the bill automatically. The last day we ate breakfast sandwiches at the cafe in the hotel instead of going to the buffet, which was about half the price and still really good food. We had dinner two nights at the Trails End cafe. The first night we had a great meal there and service was really good. The second night something went wrong and the wait was insane. We had to wait 40 minutes to get a table, and then after getting seated and ordering we waited another 45 minutes just for the appetizer. As skiers, the location of the hotel right on the slopes was perfect. We were able to go straight out of the hotel door, put on skis, and get on the ski lift right there, which was fun and extremely convenient. Overall, despite a few flaws, we had a good stay.

Was not impressed with my stay. The fact that hotel guests have to pay $25 for parking and day guests don't have to pay at all is absurd and backwards. Also it is listed on hotels.com that there is an indoor pool but we were told there was no indoor pool. That was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. The wave pool could have been cleaner. A lot of arcade games broken down. Loading the card with money would say that it didn't go through and yet I was still charged. Cashed in my tickets for a prize to find out that all I got was an empty box when I got home. Hotels.com says the breakfast buffet is between 14 and $22 but it's actually almost 30 and the food was cold. The room was very clean however. The water park closes early for 2 weeks in march so that was a bunmer. The restaurants and shops should stay open later and open earlier especially when there are many guests. This was my first time there and I don't know if I would return.

Staff was great, place was great, water park was great. Too many fees were not in final checkout price, though. Hotels.com needs to add ALLLL Camelback fees into final checkout price.
