Sanbangsan Carbonated Hot Springs is a rare carbonated hot spring in Korea where you can enjoy a relaxing time in nature. This carbonated hot spring is the first-ever popular hot spring established on Jeju Island and is famous for the quality of its water superior to any of the five major mineral springs in Korea. A sign proclaiming “Gumyeongsu” (life water) is hung at the entrance, and legend has it that illnesses were cured after drinking water from this hot spring.
At Sanbangsan Carbonated Hot Springs, carbonic acid gas, which is absorbed into the skin, stimulates and expands capillaries and lowers the blood pressure, and helps cure diseases such as high blood pressure, peripheral vascular circulation disorders and rheumatism, as well as relieves fatigue and improves skin beauty. In particular, the ceiling and walls are made of glass, which will make you feel as if you are enjoying the cosy hot spring in the arms of nature. On a rainy day, soak yourself in hot spring water and recuperate while enjoying the rain falling down outside.
