My husband and I stayed for three nights, then went to Tangier, but loved it so much we had to come back for one more night before we depart. "Upon arriving at the airport at 10:44pm we were hoping to be greeted by our driver, who we booked 3 months prior to arrival, that was not the case. We had to wait an hour for him to arrive to pick us up. No apology just went on like nothing had happened. We arrive at entrance where they drop you off with your luggage and someone comes to meet you to bring you down the alley to your hotel. Check in was fine and smooth BUT once we got into the room is where we were both put off (not even the first two scenarios were as bad). There were moths and gnats as the window was left open and stains on the sheets. At this point it was late and we were both exhausted, but not tired enough to hop on the internet and book another hotel for the next night. We got minimal sleep and had a tour booked for early the next morning. After the tour we came back to the room, collected our luggage, and went down to check out a day early. They basically just took our keys, gave us a thumbs up, and told us to have a nice day (kick rocks) after telling them about the room situation. Once again no apologies, "how can we make this right?", nothing."

"My wife and I stayed at the Riad Palais des Princesses for a 3 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are seeking a modern, clinical type of hotel, this isn't for you - it is however for those wanting to step back in time, soak up the atmosphere and ambiance and to do so in beautiful surroundings. From the moment we arrived the staff were superb as we took our seats for our welcoming Moroccon mint tea and they catered for all our needs throughout our stay. The Riad is perfectly located as a starting point to explore the city, close to the main square and souks. Our suite was beautifully arranged with a unique and quirky entrance room leading to the main bedroom suite and bathroom. The roof top terrace also came to good use as a spot to sit out and relax and enjoy the setting sun. Very much enjoyed our stay."

"My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated. The comped my drink but still "

"We had a great suite (room 22) in this ideally placed hotel. The staff were all friendly and courteous. We enjoyed beers in the Sky Bar. It’s a great place to stay. "
