The beans and the bacon were both cold and this was at 7:35! I would not be expecting this. Supposedly they were in a heated dish. They definitely were cold however! Staff were quite blunt when asked about gym timings. Nowhere even in their own website does it state timings, so disappointed when wanting to use it at 7;30 before leaving for the day and told I can’t due to rooms above. I understand that but either sound proof the rooms or make it clear on both their own and third party websites the limitations! Hot tub was not in use either, supposedly due to weather. Again something that needs to be informed on third party websites, also that April is classed as winter in Iceland

Really great hotel, perfect spot to see the Aurora. A little out of the way and not close to any restaurants but that’s what makes it a good spot for the Aurora because of a lack of light pollution. The hotel restaurant is good.

I like to be totally honest when I review. This hotel is nice, unique, SUPER friendly staff. I would stay here again. One complaint, charging to use the hot tub :/ I hate being nickel and dimed to death on vacation. The hot tub is small, doesn’t get very hot and they charge to use it even though I’m a guest, that’s very annoying. I was in Iceland 10 days and this was the only accommodation that charged for hot tub use and it was also the worst one. I specifically picked rooms based on hot tub usage, don’t nickel and dime your guests.

O hotel tem um sistema de monitoramento de aurora bem legal. Há câmeras de monitoramento e quando são identificadas auroras visiveis a olho nu a equipe liga. Se você estiver caçando auroras boreais acho que este hotel é perfeito. Ele tambem é perto do Golden circle. Muito confortável.

Great hotel just in the middle of no where. Had horses outside our room which was cool. Restaurant had great food. Good gym and amenities but the pool table was broken and limited pool cues - only 1, rest were broken. Didn’t love that you needed to pay 3000 ISK per person to use the sauna and hot tub.

Charming Hotel, But Gym Opens Late

Pros: - Beautiful building architecture and materials. - Friendly, helpful staff. - Clean, comfortable rooms. - Delicious breakfast with options for a variety of diets Cons: - Gym doesn’t open until 9am, so early workouts aren’t possible. - There are not really walking paths outdoors so going for. a run or walk are not possible. Notes: The location is quite rural, with no nearby restaurants. We recommend dining at the hotel—the food was very good and reasonably priced.
