What an amazing little gem of a hotel. So quirky with its wonderful themed rooms. We stayed in the Saloon which was based on a room in a an old western saloon. The ensuite had the most amazing stand alone roll top bath which could have fitted 2 without any problem. There is a lounge with a small bar where you can get the most incredible choice of cocktails that I have ever seen. There are also wines beers and spirits available. This was very cozy and comfortable and we finished off our evenings there each night of our stay. The view from the hotel which is situated at the top of the cliffs overlooking both the harbour and Whitby Abbey in the distance is beautiful.

Quirky but intersting decor. Lovely friendly staff and pooch! Fabulous outlook from the front of the property. Some nice touches like delivering breakfast to your door which had a good selection of breakfast items. Also, exquisite selection of toileteries.

Beautiful hotel, lots of character and really friendly staff. We stayed in La Rosa room and enjoyed a delicious cocktail in the lounge before going out to explore Whitby. Thoroughly recommend!

This hotel is really special. Great Victorian ambiance. Amazing view of the abbey and bay. Do not expect TV but wifi is good. Loved the all antique decor.

Fabulous quirky hotel

Quirky hotel where each room is themed. Decorated with lots of recycled vintage items. The room and en-suite were a good size. Our room had a view of the beach and Abbey. Orange juice delivered to our room each morning. Fabulous location- walking distance of the harbour etc.

The rooms and bar area are quirky and full of character. The view of Whitby and the abbey from the room was spectacular. John the reception / bar staff was brilliant throughout, and was always friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely welcome at check in 💕 The parking was super we got parked outside which was convenient and we were given a parking permit. So that took the stress out of parking as Whitby was busy. The hotel is quirky and fabulous which we loved. We stayed in the crows nest on the the top floor. It had 3 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Each room is themed and the kids loved the treasure chest full of dressing up! Our room had beautiful views over the harbour. We went out for dinner to Trenches it's was amazing. Best fish and chips in Whitby 💕 We only booked room only so for breakfast we went out too! But there is an option of a continental breakfast at the hotel .We used the hotel as a base it's a super location and great for a short stay especially for a family of five which is difficult to find 💕. We were also given complimentary milk and tea and coffee making facilities in our apartment and fresh orange juice in the morning which is a lovely touch thank you! We would recommend experiencing this unique hotel which capulates the imagination and looks over on to the famous Whitby Abby 💕We had a wonderful stay thank you to the La Rosa hotel and wonderful staff!

Quirky and a pleasant change

Definitely different from the soulless norm. Very pleasant greeting from the owners and a lovely served breakfast with some very nice personal touches. A lot of thought had gone into the decor some of which was highly amusing, not least the draped mannikin in the cocktail bar. The cocktails were excellent as well. If you want all modcons of a modern hotel chain then not for you but if you like something unique, personal and quirky then this is for you. Made our road trip down the East Coast very special.
