This was the perfect stay. It's not a glamorous property but the room was big and very clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast provided was fine. It's right on the water and beach towels, lounge chairs, snorkeling gear are available. They also have kayaks for guest use. No fighting for access to chairs or anything else. Next time we go we will be staying there. It's also a family business. Owner and her brother and son work the property.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Serene by the Sea. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly, helpful and responsive. They answered every question, helped us get transportation and made excellent recommendations regarding restaurants, the area and services. The facilities at Serene are very quaint, comfortable and provide a relaxing retreat. Savaneta is a great place to stay when in Aruba. Very quiet and picturesque, yet with easy access to downtown or other parts of the island. We will certainly stay here again the next time we visit Aruba.

Boy did we get lucky picking this place. The location is outstanding, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and most of all, the family that runs the hotel is so so so lovely. I want to write paragraph after paragraph about how much we enjoyed our stay here, but I also want to make sure that people read it and also chose to stay here, so I’ll just keep it to this: it’s right on the water, and you can see lots of interesting fish, and even a sea turtle here and there snorkeling right by where you eat breakfast (which is also lovely and includes visits from several named iguanas that visit for snacks from the cook each morning). We’ll be back, and I don’t want to stay anywhere else on the island.

The staff was extremely friendly and the morning breakfast was a treat. It’s located on a beautiful private beach in a perfect location for watching the sunset in peace. Serene by the sea was just what we were looking for, a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. Chef was awesome, friendly and informative...and made great open face omeletes every morning. Sea life right at the dock...crabs and plenty of fish, and iguanas living under the deck would come out and say hello. Great stay, great chef, great resort.

The property is perfect for a quiet break! Loved sitting overlooking sea glass island for breakfast every day. The included breakfast was very nice. Swim area is small but sandy bottom went out far enough to be shoulders deep in water. Plenty of chairs, beds and outdoor seating to spend a lazy day among palms. This place was wonderful. The owners are a family. They are around all the time and really care about how you are doing. This is on the quiet non-tourist side of the island. They have a chef who makes you omelets in the morning in a cabana right on the water. This place is a hidden gem and will definitely be our place to stay when returning to Aruba.

My wife and I enjoyed our most relaxing vacation in years during our three night stay at Serene by the Sea. We particularly enjoyed being able to swim and snorkel from the small beach right off the dock. Chef Emile prepared us a fabulous surf and turf meal one evening, which was most enjoyable. The ease of access to the airport, the availability of parking, and the proximity to Mangel Halto and Baby Beaches all made my so glad I steered clear of the Eagle Beach hotel zone. We can't wait to return!

Amazing family hotel! Not superfancy, but it has an incredible warmth. Chef will show you his sea aquarium, Roberto the iguana will wave at you from a safe distance and the kayaks are ready to be taken for a ride. Or just chill in one of the hammocks or sun beds! Nice restaurants just minutes away by foot, or they can arrange a private dinner in the hotel just for you.
