The hotel was good and the staff were helpful. The free coffee was an added bonus after being out at a concert and was being used by lots of people. Location was perfect. The hotel was let down by the size of the bathroom. It was ridiculously cramped, especially the toilet area. Also, the sink took ages for the water to drain and there were no hand towels. For one night it was OK but wouldn’t stay longer for this reason.

The location is perfect, right in the city center with easy access to everything. The bedroom was a good size, but cant say the same about the bathroom. It was so small, we could barely sit on the toilet without being stabbed by the toilet paper holder/the actual toilet paper if it was full. Staff were not friendly at all, welcoming or helpful. We had different people at check in and check out and neither looked at does during the interaction and they rushed the whole process. There was never a good morning or a simple smile....nothing.

Only stopped one night, but couldn't be faulted for what we needed. Check in was fast and efficient. The rooms were excellent - well equipped, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was top notch. Good variety and quality. The hotel is brilliantly located for the city centre and arena. Great too that you get a discount on parking at the Merrion Centre carpark.

Large clean room with comfortable bed. Shower water flow was a bit weak but adequate for 1 nights stay. A makeup/shaving mirror would have been useful, also socket for hair dryer near the mirror. But overall good value for the price, will book again when visiting leeds

Main problem with our stay was the breakfast experience on the second day. There seemed to be a shortage of staff which resulted in the whole experience being a shambles. There appeared to be only one person in the kitchen and only one person in the restaurant. Front of restaurant was having to check reservations and having to act as a waiter for a large number of tables and guests. Kitchen staff were unable to keep up with the replenishment of food, plates and cutlery. Minor point of complaint was the position of the toilet roll holder in the bathroom of our room. This was situated ridiculously close to the toilet seat. We also thought it unhygienic that there were no hand towels provided only bath towels.
