Amazing spot! The view from the balcony can be a bit limited because of the beautiful trees. The locations is amazing, though. It is only two minutes drive to the area with the restaurants. The delivered breakfast in cute baskets (8.30-9.00 am). The Sunday one was late for about 35 minutes. Other than that, it was worth the experience.

The views and location were nice, but the room was dusty and poorly maintained (mini fridge sounded like it was dying, had to run the water for 10 minutes in the morning to get hot water, etc). The noise was worst part. The road noise was constant and loud (the Bunkhouse is on the main road though town) and we could hear every moan from the couple next to us through the wall.

Didn’t have a Mountain View but it was quiet. Room was clean but very dated. There were some things that could have been fixed, i.e, broken toilet handle, counter by sink was missing a piece in front, previous occupant had disconnected tv cable, smoke detector was on bathroom window sill, and there was NO hot water.

We were super happy with the stay here! We enjoyed the full kitchen with a microwave, fridge, utensils and sink for dishes. The property has a lot of rustic history and a sweet little hike out the back down to the creek We enjoyed the little continental breakfast basket delivered to our door. The price is good! Great location to downtown and the deer Springs trailhead, and was quite comfortable with the smaller size room. The staff were kind and the breakfast basket was a nice surprise. We found the bed very uncomfortable, the wall is very thin, and the yellow, crunchy towels, way past their life. One of the towels had a lot of hair from the previous wash… I could only recommend this hotel if someone was really limited from a budget perspective. we will not be staying again.

We drove up to idyllwild during the sunset. The views all the way up were breathtaking. When we arrived to the bunkhouse it had lights all along the front. A perfect little getaway. It’s a small location making it feel so intimate. We stayed in room 14, and it was so cute and cozy! The back balcony view was amazing. The heaters provided kept us warm all night. The kitchen set up was perfect enough and gave us different options. The bunkhouse dropped off scones and other snacks for us every morning. We had our scones and coffee in the balcony. Overall it was the perfect location, near trails and the town — and far enough to feel lost in the forest.
