Plentiful, easy parking - just enter reg on check in. Great helpful polite staff, from reception to dinner to breakfast. Small room with smaller bathroom - but perfectly fine for 1 night. Room 12 west wing - the heating/radiator/pipes make a dreadful loud humming, goes off at 9pm thankfully but does come back on at 6am (despite staff saying 7am) - not ideal if you value a lie in!

The castle was beautiful, room much bigger than the pics suggest, the bed itself was really comfy, and probably the biggest TV I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. Good choice and service in the bar/restaurant. Nice thought put into the vegan options too which was the main reason we chose here over nearby castles, and why I’ve still given 5 stars. Only downsides was the breakfast did trigger the Mrs’ intolerance to Quorn, (not a well known allergen but I’d just suggest to state on the menu if Quorn is used) and also there was a connecting door to the next room hidden behind the wardrobe, which meant we could hear every noise from the neighbouring bathroom. Thankfully next door weren’t too noisy
