This is a prime spot for visiting Helen. It’s only a few yards from the city center. The beach area with the swings and tables by the river was incredibly relaxing. I spent most of one day just relaxing there. The rooms were newly redone with nice memory foam mattress and a nice new roomy shower (no tub 👍) and the shower head was actually high enough for taller folks to not have to slump to wash their hair. The tv was a little confusing, but I wasn’t there to watch tv. My only real complaint was that I stumbled several times and fell once over in expected drops and odd half stairs…even the ramp was pretty steep. If you have mobility issues, I’d make sure to get a first level room and watch your step. Several different staff members went out of their way to help me with odd circumstances that came up. This place was an incredible value considering the other similarly priced hotels were not on the river, as close to the center or nearly as nicely appointed and maintained as the River Bend. I can’t wait to stay in the cabins soon. I doubt I’ll stay anywhere else when l go to Helen.

They said there was no one above us but someone was up there dragging furniture all night long and running power tools so after informing the staff and NOTHING was done. We had planned on staying for 5 nights but after 2 nights of no sleep we checked out & left. The manager lied so much to Hotels.com and stoled our money for the 5 nights and refused to credit us back for the 3 nights we didnt even stay. People at the front desk the first 2 dsys & nights were great but the management leaves alot to be desired, very dishonest!!! Will NEVER stay here again too many other choices.

This one of all time favorite properties to stay at when in Helen Ga. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are always spotless, the location is walking distance to down town, plus the river is right there….ahhhhhh our happy place.

The room was clean. We arrived early and the morning staff greeted us, but said our room wasn't ready so for us to come back at 3pm or they would call us. When we came back to check in we did not even get the room we requested. No explanation on why our room was given away.

The Staff at the front desk were quite rude to my boyfriend when we initially arrived. He was not happy finding out after a long drive that the rate we were quoted en route was $80 higher when we arrived. When he tried to ask why were we not told about all of this there was no explanation. We were told we could stay elsewhere. We were both tired from being on the road so I had to ask him to go outside while I handled the key part. I feel I was overcharged and was never given a receipt and we paid in cash....
