A very small room with shower 36" x30". It felt like living in a cave. Outside wall damp and paint buckling... Probably unhealthful. We paid $343 for a room with no view, no balcony, no air circulation in the bathroom... Ugh. Horrible

We had a fantastic stay, the Southern Palms really lived up to the ‘old school’ charms of its reputation. The staff were fantastic, particularly Makaila and all the ladies at the restaurant who were so kind and attentive. Walking up every morning to the sound of the waves and then swimming with turtles right outside our room was a total dream. We look forward to returning soon!

This hotel becomes 5 star with the beach just outside your door. The room was clean with nice cotton crisp sheets. The staff was welcoming. The beach service was icing the cake just not consistent. Can’t wait to return next year.

The hotel itself is very nice but older. The view from our room had a beautiful beach view. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed their breakfast à la carte but also enjoyed the various restaurants nearby such as Rebel Burger, Happy Days and the jamacian place. It was nice when they offered tea time everyday at 4pm with various pastries as well as coffee. I loved the location to the beach and to St. Lawrence Gap. The only thing that I was not prepared for was the LOUD karaoke which was every night nearby in the Gap. The walls are thin and you can hear it very clearly until midnight or so.If you are a light sleeper, I would consider other options. It was very hard to get rest at night which was frustrating since we were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. Other than that the hotel is very nice with many activities. I just wish it wasn’t so noisy at night.

We had a great one bedroom with functional kitchen, and great balcony with ocean view. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well kept and convenient. Beach and beach access is top notch, and the immediate area is walkable and has everything from local fare and friendly bars to high energy nightlife. Only recommendations for Southern Palms would be improve the gym facility, and have a more reasonable price for the breakfast buffet.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view. The facilities and service were excellent and the Hotel was conveniently situated between the beach and St.Lawrence Gap. We could have happily spent longer here.
