Amazing staycation spot! We live in Stockholm and visited Villa Foresta for a staycation and cannot wait to come back! Super nice staff, great breakfast, nice clean room with great view from the balcony! Everything was great, except one tiny thing that photos showed a super nice view of the ocean through the balcony and bedroom windows, but ours was not like that, to enjoy the view u had to go to the balcony only, and room windows were facing either the street or the restaurant. The room we booked was "Junior Svit", I know that all rooms can't have the same view, but the photos were a bit misleading. The view was a big part for us for booking our stay at the hotel, but if we have to stay on the balcony to get a nice view and its super windy and a bit chilly, then it defeats the purpose a bit.

Hotellet manglet innsjekkingsdisk. Man går rett inn i en bar! Bartenderen var svært hjelpsom. Frokospersonalet var topp( jeg er matallergiker). Rommet var stort med utsikt til nabohuset og Lidingöbroen. Men for noen farger: mørk olivengrønne vegger, mørk skogsgrønn heldekkingsmatte. Lite plass til toilettsaker på badet ellers helt ok. Mitt totalinntrykk av interiøret, farger og møbler er at Villa Foresta er et hotell designet av eldre menn for menn! Det er synd med tanke på Swedish design med lette og luftige møbler. Jeg har forøvrig tenkt å bo der igjen nå som jeg vet at bussens nummer fra Ropsten er 238.

I was staying in Lidingo again - just one night. The Foresta hotel is perfectly located. Don't let the 1960s facade outside put you off - they have done the inside up very well. Terrace bar outside is pleasant with decent weather, with loads of seating inside when not. The 6th floor restaurant is excellent. Be sure to use that - and take in the view of Stockholm. Not much parking at the hotel, though. Check-in is at the bar through the entrance. Nice staff. The new spa opens soon, apparently. Recommended.

I was in Stockholm in business trip. Short stay at Villa Foresta. The outside of the hotel looks dated, but do not let that put you off. It’s had a wonderful refurb on the inside. Check in is at the lobby bar. Drinks out on the terrace on a nice day, or inside st sample chairs & tables. A nice comfortable room to sleep in. An excellent restaurant and service up on 6th floor. Really good food. Breakfast is the usual spread on the ground floor, in restaurant at back bar. No negatives. Highly recommended.
