I was initially excited about the stay based on the reviews. However, I realized the reviews are more likely a collection from across all Super8 properties and not this specific one. I was out of state to attend a funeral. I needed a place to rest from over 3 hours of driving and be ready for the drive back. While the staff was helpful, the overall experience made me consider just attempting to drive back home. Checking in was quick and simple, but after not being able to find the elevator (outside the building, blends into column, and no clear sign) I trekked up three flights of stairs and around outside corridors with bags and heavy workstation in tow only to discover my card key didn't work. I took the elevator down but the door wouldn't open when it reached the first floor. I kept pushing a sequence of Floor 1 and Door Open and the doors finally opened. The staff quickly re-activated the key. It worked when I went back to my room. Getting to WiFi was not clear, took extra steps, and call down to the desk. It was a Saturday: the property was loud, a random person kept knocking on my door, there were at least 8 police SUVs at the property due to a significant incident, the crowd from the City View restaurant, the tow trucks' multiple trips, and more. The breakfast was dismal (no basics like water, apples, bananas), just a few boxes of snack bars and one was already empty when I checked out at 9:20am. Would not recommend for children or single women. Weekday might be better?
