The location is great, about a 10 minute walk up from North Pier, not right next to everything, so you can separate the hecticness of the town, and the calmness when winding down. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. The room was a great size - could maybe do with a little modernising, but the room and bathroom were clean. Could possibly have done with a couple more toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine, maybe a little more choice would've been good, but there was enough there to set you up for the day. Entertainment in the evening was great. Will definitely look to book here again next time I visit Blackpool overnight.

Room wasn't as advertised, was very old fashioned tiny bed, floorboards creaking constantly, paper thin walls. When people walked past the room their floorboards also creaked, you could hear people talking as they walked past and they was just having a normal conversation so they wasn't speaking loudly it felt as if they were next to you, one cup on the tea tray, never again

Room was spacious and clean. Staff were curious and helpful. Meals were plentiful and hot. The only problem was check-in. I am an amputee on crutches. I have a conformation email from the hotel where I had asked for a room with no stairs involved. I was first given room 214 which would have had me going up and down stairs. My room was actually fine and I loved the sea view and the hotel is clean. However, my daughter also booked to stay at this hotel and phoned in advance to ask about wheelchair accessibility. On arrival I was told she couldn't use the wheelchair accessible entrance because there was a wedding in progress. Surely wheelchair accessible entrances should be 24/7? And getting her to her room up the ramp on the 3rd floor was "challenging". The room itself wasn't big enough for her to use her wheelchair at all. I know it's an old building and they've made an effort but they could do better on this issue.

Phoned to check accessibility before booking, was assured it was wheelchair accessible and to specify in booking that access was needed. There is a big difference between being step free and wheelchair accessible! The ramp up to the rooms was ridiculously steep requiring my partner to do a run up to get me up. I had booked the hotel aiming to be able to get in and out independently, this was impossible due to this ramp! Unable to get wheelchair around the room as not enough space between the end of the bed and the wall. Accessible entrance also not accessible when a wedding ceremony is on so trapped in/out the hotel at those times. No accessible widened parking spaces, tiny spaces only at front and back. Radiator in bathroom scalding hot making it unpleasantly warm throughout stay, we asked at reception for it to be turned down which was not done. Burned my arm on it that evening after catching it for a few seconds. Couldn't open the bathroom window due to a pigeon that was trying to break in at all hours. Overall very disappointed based on how much we spent for the room!
