We love staying in the Avoca Hotel. Staff really go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The rooms are clean and fresh towels are put into your room every morning. If staying over the winter months rest assured you will never feel cold as each room has its own thermostat controlled radiator. An absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel.

We very much enjoyed a lovely one night stay at the Avoca. We had the most fantastic view from our room overlooking the sea and Mourne mountains. The room was really nicely decorated, cosy and had a large comfy bed. Everything was very clean and well presented. All the staff we came across were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent - great choice and plentiful. Overall a real gem of a stay and we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely welcome which set the scene for our entire stay. The bedroom was quirky and very comfortable with the most beautiful sea view. Staff were really friendly and breakfast was huge and really tasty. We loved our stay at Avoca and are already planning our next visit. Have recommended it to friends and family already.

Room on the small and and very dark. only one very low energy spot bulb in the ceiling. Room comfy enough but pretty basic. You're aware of traffic noise and noise from corridors but not from other rooms.

Lovely room with cracking view of the see. Parking very close and not far from town centre. Welcoming and friendly staff and good breakfast. Only thing I would mention was lack of storage in the room but we managed. Would stay again.

Awesome Hotel

We had a wedding in Newcastle and decided to stay in the Avoca that night. I rang in advance to see if we could perhaps get an early check in to suit the early wedding and this was accommodated no problem. The hotel itself lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was beautiful also. If we’re back that way again we’ll definitely stay again.

Great views of the sea. The fish & chips is beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is piping hot it's definitely the best fry up I've had at a hotel. The staff are so friendly & helpful. The hotel has a very relaxed vibe. The wild hare bar is brilliant, there's live music on at night & the cocktails are delicious.

A lovely 2 night stay at this very convenient hotel on Newcastle Main Street. Great view of the sea from the family room on the 1st floor. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely including breakfast and with parking just round the corner it was a great location.

Great stay, close to everything, highly recommend

Fantastic hotel right outside the promenade and a stones throw away from the town. I believe it was refurbished recently enough, very comfortable and the decor is really well done. We’d a beautiful sea view room. The staff were really nice and v helpful, the restaurant and bar were excellent (great food and drink). Highly recommend.
