When we arrived we were told we had booked accessible rooms but that we could change to normal, which we did - when I checked my booking, we had NOT booked accessible rooms. We were supposed to have a room with a king size bed, our room was a double, we saw other rooms in passing which were king size - when we mentioned this to reception they said "every room is listed as a king size" which I don't even really know what kind of answer that is. We had paid for the room at the time of booking yet charged again at the property, which was eventually refunded but only when we queried it. Additionally when we had drinks in the bar that night the overnight staff (not evening staff, she was lovely!) served us half glasses rather than full, it had been difficult to find someone to serve us anyway so we didn't want to hunt someone out again just to complain. But, when we brought this up with management this was not just simply rectified. Hotel was fine, clean enough, basic amenities, but there was no kingsize bed, the rooms felt quite dated and the service from the reception team wasn't great. fine for a quick overnight stay but wouldn't return - and also, the rooms aren't quite what is listed!
