Warm welcome when we arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage to explore.
We had asked for a quiet room if possible, and were given one on the top floor which should have been great. Unfortunately although I looked on google maps at location I didn’t appreciate that the hotel was located on the corner of a busy road when local traffic starts around 7.00 am. The hotel was also undertaking building work and part of this was next to our room so coupled with the traffic noise we also had the noise of drilling from about 7.30 onwards. Better than an alarm clock to wake you up. The room was of good size, bed comfortable and had tea making facilities and a fridge. Reception was good enough to provide milk when requested. Shower nice and hot and good water pressure.
Breakfast was plentiful with regular fresh top ups. Usual bread, fruit, yogurt, meats and cheeses and hot offerings of bacon, sausage, beans and eggs. Coffee machine available all day. It would have been nice to have a toaster.
We also sat up on the terrace which has nice views across the city. Didn’t use the hot tub or inside pool.
Good location within walking distance of main bus terminal and entry to Valletta. The hotel and the pharmacy next door were probably the best buildings in a very tired street. Opposite large car park. Good option if you are looking to stay a couple of nights in Valletta.
