The nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, period (and I’ve been all over the world!). From the moment you arrive the staff is friendly, helpful and so attentive to your every need. I have stayed in many high end resorts internationally and I have never experienced such a high level of customer-focused service. Every waiter, bartender, pool attendant and bell person was laser focused on guest satisfaction. My personal cuates team tended to our every need in a timely and courteous manner. The property and suites were gorgeous and immaculate. The restaurants were amazing. This is the premier resort in Punta de Mita.

Absolutely amazing property with gorgeous views of the Bahia de Banderas. Great rooms, great pools for adults and kids, wonderful private beach. Limited dining options on property (only 2 restaurants) and limited options off property where you need transportation which is costly when arranged from the hotel. Also, no actual front desk, have to text team for anything which works but can be annoying when you just want a quick key if you forget it in the room.

5 stars with misses!

There is no in room coffee machine, they brought coffee once a day and the rest of the time is room service. No reception area, the Buddy system is not effective. Would have been nice to receive treats on a daily basis instead of just on the first day. Spa was fabulous, we loved the jacuzzi.

I will start by saying that my friends and I were excited to try the new hotel. We typically stay at the Four Seasons or St. Regis when we vacation to Punta Mita once a year but love the Auberge properties because of the service and the beautifully designed properties. The property is beautiful, I would even say stunning but the staff and service is lacking the Auberge touch. I assume the property was a five star resort but it felt more like a 3.5 or 4. Our concierge that was assigned to us lacked in customer service and checking in with us, the pool service was slow, the food options are limited and aside from the bartenders, the staff is not friendly and helpful. In addition, they had a conference coming in that bought out the resort so there was a huge push to get everyone out of the resort on our last day. Not only did we feel the lack of service, friendliness but rushed. With other upscale resorts down the street such as Four Seasons and St. Regis, you would think the hotel would try to set themselves apart.

Fabulous but….

This hotel is fabulous. Beautiful room, grounds and beach. Food was good - some things were delicious and some were meh. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Nice comfortable beach chairs and 3 big pools. Only 59 rooms which kept things intimate. Workout area was small but had new equipment and met our needs. I do have some complaints, tho. First of all, there is a 15% service charge AND a 16% tax on all food and drinks. That’s 31% added to all ready expensive drinks and food. In the restaurants they offer you still or gas water without telling you they charge you for water. The have “house” water, which is free, but they don’t let you know that. At breakfast they offer you pastries without telling you there is a charge for them. It’s like they are offering something free but it’s not free and there’s the additional 31% on top of what they charge! As the hotel is very pricey to begin with - these little additions were aggravating when the bill came. My last complaint was “the spa”. They are building a spa. They still are offering massages which are given in 3 of the 59 hotel rooms. I’m cool with that but to charge premium spa rates $250ish for an 80 minute massage with an additional 31% fee attached seems a bit much - you’re in a hotel room with no spa amenities.
