I did not use the ‘packaged’ breakfast as such did not appeal. The parking was convenient and welcome. I had asked for a quiet room and I got a sweet end/corner room that, other than the usual rude folks who let their doors slam all night, was cosy and quiet. The bathroom was very nice with a huge walk-in shower. Only three things I would recommend the hotel address to make it absolutely perfect: get a booster for the low water pressure, add a close up mirror, and add another hook or two for folks who have hanging toiletries bags.

The Federal is definitely a hidden gem. The room and the common spaces are quintessential Maine. My king premier room was complete with a fireplace. The decor was a piece out of Maine history but also stylish enough to be modern.
