We have stayed here a few times and the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. I would suggest picking your room carefully as some of the smaller rooms are better suited for men traveling alone than for an older couple. it is lovely and charming over all and a very short walk to the points of interest in Evora. good food for all meals that we had.
