Great hotel for a relaxing stay in Djerba. The hotel grounds were great, room was clean & comfortable. Gym is a little old, but ok. The beach is beautiful and peaceful. Buffet was good and had a lot of variety. My only thing to mention is the rooms with adjoining doors can leak a lot of sound. I asked to be moved and the front desk easily helped me out and put me in a quieter spot without issue.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights only and wished our stay there was longer. It was the best hotel we stayed at in Tunisia. There was a wide variety of delicious food. The hotel itself was lovely, everywhere. The rooms are well appointed, and importantly the bed were comfortable, and we slept well! One evening we sat in the bar and musicians played, mostly instrumental songs, and young people were there to encourage older individuals to dance. The atmosphere was lovely. One of the standout things for us was there was no smoking inside. This made our stay infinitely more pleasant. The staff were lovely, sorted any issues quickly and wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We loved it here. Information for other travellers: safe key is 3TND a night (November 2025), and the water pressure in the bathroom is quite low (showers were still pleasant, but I chose not to wash my hair there as it would have taken ages).

Contrary to many reviews, the food served at the buffet was varied and delicious. For someone who likes sea food, I was not disappointed. The salad and desert bars were also varied. Most of the staff were friendly and nice (some of them were nicer with foreign tourists). Massages at the Thalasso Center were overpriced. It would have been more appreciated if a clearer description of the different available amenities (such as the traditional coffee shop) was provided during check-in.

This hotel is just for summer time

I have never seen like this hotel. It is said that this hotel is 4 stars but the actual rate must be 2 stars. It can be satisfactory if travel with big groups but not for solo or small group. It looks like a cemetery. Very cold. said on web that there is heating and WiFi but not ture. I complained to hotel reception but they never support. A friend told me that hotels in Tunisia never operate heaters in winter to decrease costs. I will never recommend it

Well done Plaza Hotel

Overall fantastic. A bit of difficulties at first but later things got much better and me and my wife enjoyed our stay and we wished it lasted longer. The lady at the room service was absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, providing us with info about Houmt Esouk. She makes this hotel proud. Mostafa, the room service was friendlier too. The food is absolutely delicious and to our taste. The hotel layout is out of this world and amazing. The swimming pools are very nicely maintained and the beach too with its lounge. I have walked along the beach to look at the other hotels but Plaza Hotel remained outstandingly nicer. Our balcony overlooks the side of the pool but the sea was right in front of us and it was nice waking up to that. I liked very much so the peace and quiet and the ability to sleep without any disturbances. The reception staff were also helpful and so was the guest relation gentleman who was all ears to any concerns. I spoke to many residents and they all share the same views and many of them if not all, it was not their first time there. Although I like the change but I would definitely go back there. I think they could do more to publicise their services as this is not well reflected on the website. I am surprised that I could not see English people in that hotel but from conversations we had with some at the airport on our return, we stayed at the best hotel.

3 stars for most things but 5 for the spa!

Solo age 29 canadian for 4 days, was looking to relax after a long trip around Tunisia. My all inclusive experience is one time in Riviera May and another in Punta Cana. Crowd: 90% old retired French people.. not a party or family hotel.. i was down for it as during the day it was peaceful around the pool to read. Oh and they play old french music all the time to satisfy the crowd, that sucked hard Pool/beach: Pool was fantastic very big and clean..lots of chairs available and in good condition. Beach is nice sand is soft but big oops tons of algae on the shore made it look bad (early october)..some other hotels nearby did not have any Amenities: Basic all inclusive activities but enjoyed the tennis as there were many courts.. but cant believe i had to pay 25 TND for a hour in an all inclusive.. cmon.. The big upside is the spa it is obviously the heart of the resort..much higher quality than anything else the hammam experience was amazing and there are so many options. Gym was too tiny/minimal Food/drinks: No free "à la carte" restaurant for an all inclusive is a big downside.. but the buffet was good always found something nice.. it is mostly tunisian influenced food which is good but not the biggest variety. Dont expect pork in a muslim country. Also drinks is a disaster i suspect the bartenders never drank in their life.. they were clueless on proportions and juices arent in the fridge..oh and they dont work with a bracelet you need to sign an invoice each time..?!

Das Hotelzimmer war leider nicht sauber und es gab viele Insekten. Teilweise roch es im Zimmer unangenehm, fast nach Fäkalien, ohne dass ich wusste, woher es kam. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich den Herrn an der Rezeption sowie die Putzfrau – beide waren sehr freundlich und korrekt. Das Essen war in Ordnung, allerdings war die Auswahl eher begrenzt. Die Kellner behandeln Gäste deutlich besser, wenn man Trinkgeld gibt – ohne wirkt der Service eher gleichgültig. Der Pool war nicht sauber, zudem waren einige Fliesen beschädigt. Auch die Liegen am Pool waren teilweise zerrissen. Der Strand an sich war okay, jedoch wird man dort oft von Verkäufern angesprochen, die teilweise sehr aufdringlich sind. Negativ finde ich auch, dass ein Mitarbeiter namens „Rio“ Gäste dazu drängt, gute Bewertungen für das Hotel zu schreiben – das wirkt unseriös. Alles in allem ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht nicht dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für den verlangten Preis kann ich es nicht empfehlen.
