The whole hotel was top notch except EXCEPT the musty smell in our room. And the sewer smell in our room..we figured it out. Wasn't from the bathroom..nor outside. It was the AC vents. Very gross. So we left the balcony door open partways day and night and survived. I give it a 3.instead of a 1 because the whole resort is beautiful. Food is amazing. It's right on the beach. And the room.itself looks great and beds very comfortable but that smell!!!!!

This property desperately needs to be updated. The rooms are marginally comfortable. I understand there are water pressure issues in town, but totally losing water mid shower is not a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. View and location are great, but would not stay here again.

The food and service in the main restaurant were the worst part of the stay. The food was just nasty...cold congealed cheese, dry overcooked chicken, took over 30 min to get nachos, waiter was nowhere to be found. Everything in the hotel is kind of shabby and in need of repair, although it looks like it was once a very nice hotel in its heyday. Super rocky beach. Extremely slow elevators. They claim to have parking, but this means you have to walk around the corner and park in this fenced off basketball court. My car was ultimately fine, but I didn't exactly feel good about leaving it there.

Room was very traditional as we were in Mexico, we stayed in one of the cheapest room. Our room was quite, the elevator went down a few times during our stay. Server Ricardo was the best for afternoon and evening dining! Morning servers were not very attentive. Overall we had a great time, and I will go there again. We are planning our next trip to stay here at the end of this year.
Best Server! Ricardo gave us the best experience at Playa Los Arcos, made us feel we were special guests.

Les ascenseurs en panne 25% du temps, la gestion des transats à la piscine (ils sont tous réservés par des fantômes tôt le matin il est donc impossible de les utiliser et aucun employé ne semble s’en préoccuper), la douche très vétuste et enfin pas de tolérance même de 30 minutes le jour du départ… Mais le rez de chaussée de l’hôtel est très beau et la plupart des employés très sympas.

This is a 2-3star hotel. The location is great and the staff are good but the rooms are very old and tired (with sketchy plumbing and AC); and the food is mediocre at best and too expensive given all the options around the hotel. If you’re looking for a cheap party place, this is it. If you’re looking for a quiet oasis retreat, keep looking 🙄

The room was quite musty and very dark and not actually big enough for 4 people. The set up was also awkward and we didnt have a balcony despite having one jn the room photos. The pool and beach are amazing and the staff are very kind. The food and drink has gotten much more expensive. Overall it is a good place to stay in viejo vallarta with kids but i think the competition fro. Other hotels and rentals is outstripping this resort.

Room was old and dirty, cigarette holes in curtains, fridge was bare silver on top when opened gave a shock, food was really disappointing, same thing over and over and everything in sauces, and nothing seemed fresh, this was really disappointing because my previous trip everything was great I stayed at sister hotel, the only upside is the staff was great. I will Maybe consider finding somewhere else next year, I’m so disappointed.

Staff were great and the room was nice. Would have been perfect but the room faced the Main Street and it was so loud all night. Almost no noise was insulated from the room and it sounded like I was sleeping in a loud bar until 3am. Talked to front desk and they said they were unable to change my room. 7 nights of 3-4 hours sleep was not relaxing to me. Otherwise trip was great. I have stayed at Los Arcos 6 or 7 times and have never had an issue until this stay.
