The hotel was a very convenient place to stay, just a short drive from the town. The room was clean and comfortable, but a little warm at night. The shower was powerful and warm. Staff we talked to were very helpful. Breakfast was good. I especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice - squeezed by myself!

Quite a new Ibis, smart design, nice rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Underground car parking is €12, but plenty of free street parking around the hotel. There are a couple of cafes and restaurants within 100m, the town centre is an easy 15 minute walk. The citadel is probably a 30 minute walk, but easier to drive ( plenty of free parking there) as not surprisingly it’s uphill.

Parking was easy and safe, the room was clean but very sparse. Very few amenities - no coffee maker, very plainly designed and decorated, no place to put open luggage, bed was hard, only two pillows, etc. The room was much too expensive for how cheaply it was outfitted.

Very Pleasant Stop

The Tryp Leira is a reliable and pleasant stop on our way north. We have stayed several times. Spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and staff, easy on and off freeway. Leira has an old town, Se, castle and good restaurants to pass the time, all walking distance.

Enjoyable stay in Braganca

A clear and orderly reception area and room. Air conditioning worked well. May want to ask for an extra towel(s) at check in. Only had two bath towels and no washcloths. Breakfast was worth it with a selection of hot and cold foods and pastries. We would definitely stay there again.

The door to the washroom got stuck. When confronted the front desk. Their response is am i crazy to think we can check every door of this hotel. When i asked for the manager, he said he is relaxing in turkey and wont be bothering him.

The hotel is acceptable, but the location on the booking site is WRONG. The hotel is much further from the city center than shown. This is not the first time I have encountered this deceptive practice. When I do, no one will take responsibility -- just finger pointing, then everyone shrugs as if to say "It's the customer's fault. The shouldn't have trusted us." Guess what, you're right. Why am I trusting a booking site that lies to me?

Basic Ibis Bragança

It is a basic Ibis that is good for a 1-2 night stay and the price is appropriate for what you get. As with any Ibis in this class, there were no amenities in the room other than 1 wash that is supposed to be used as shampoo, soap and body wash. Unfortunately the beds are terrible. The mattress topper that is used constantly slid off the bed. Had to get up through the night to move the topper back on to the bed. One very positive of the room, is the cleanliness and friendliness of the housekeeping staff. Not even a speck of dust on the black base boards. The ladies who clean these rooms are excellent and need to be acknowledged for the incredible job they do. Some of the front end/check in staff need to be more pleasant when greeting the public.
