Surprise was the free popcorn and free evening snacks (meatballs, mashed potatoes, salad) and three drinks made it easy to stay in and not venture out in a storm. Bartender nd staff all seem to be working hard to replenish things nd neaten stations up. Very impressed.

Mixed stay over 4 nights. The hotel is hard to access if coming from the east. You have to either go past the hotel, make a u-turn and come in the main entrance, or sneak through the back of an abandoned Econolodge (or the back of a different property) to get in through the back. The breakfast was... disappointing, even for hotel breakfasts. For instance, the sausage was steamed, and therefore wet. One night, our toilet got clogged and the hotel had run out of plungers, so we were given a new room. The staff was helpful in making the switch, though. The pool had heated jets and was well stocked with towels. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I don't think it was because of anything the hotel did wrong (other than a lackluster breakfast).

The pool was supposedly heated, but it was very cold. The associate at the front desk mentioned at least 4 times to my granddaughter not to pee in the pool. He was a a little creepy. We had handicapped room, but I thought it odd that there was no bath mat or decals in the tub for stability. There in not nearly enough seating for breakfast. Breakfast has a nice variety. we used the pull out couch bed and the extra sheets and pillow, but there was no pillowcase on the pillow. The bed was nice. The sitting area was nice.

Common areas were not cleaned throughout the day. We got to breakfast each day 30 minutes before closing. There were no clean tables and the food bar was a mess. Sticky from syrup and waffles. Crumbs everywhere— even in food. Out of items. We never saw it clean during our three-night stay. In addition, our room was never cleaned, not even the trash was emptied. We did not know about this. The second day, we went down for clean towels and the staff said it'd be cleaned the next day. Nope. No one came. The bright side? Staff was friendly and kind. I will try to find a better place to stay as this is not Marriott quality. Or is it?
