Excellent location with just a short walk into city centre beside the beautiful river. The hotel was undergoing some major maintenance work, however, it was clean and comfortable with excellent room facilities. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with plenty of choices. Would definitely stay again, however we would avoid the pub attached to the hotel called ‘The Bear’ which was very run down (ripped seats, broken chairs) and served the worst food we have ever eaten in a restaurant!

Very conveniently located, definitely visit the Butterfly Farm, it is magical! Highly recommend Walking Tour, Owen was a fantastic guide. Good food and so much history. Don't miss Shakespeare's birthplace, school and burial sites. Stratford upon Avon is a bucket list place to visit.

Very welcoming and helpful staff at reception on check in. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was very clean. Parking was available at the hotel and for a feasible price of £10 for 24 hours. We went to one of the bars/restaurant linked to the hotel, the Bear. Staff were very friendly there too and it was an added bonus to get 10% off all food and drinks. We will definitely be back.

This was our third time staying at The Swans Nest , and although it was virtually same as before the service was not on par as before ,I think the reason why is they need more staff they are probably short of 3 front of house and more house keeping staff as it was nearly 4pm when we finally got our room keys , the room 205 was nice and quiet but looking a bit tired decor wise , the hotel are under going some major building work extending and adding more rooms I hope when that is completed the hotel gets a new lick of paint , having said that its not untidy it just needs a freshen up , the staff are always pleasant and attentive to your needs the location to town is perfect , the only thing that gets me is the patio area outside the bistro is dominated by a very large tree and this drops its leaves etc all over the patio and entrance to the hotel which not only is very messy it also does not give a very good first impression to visitors ,5 mins every day with a leaf blower and a pan and brush would make all the difference and then you could use it

The food in the bar was excellent, and the staff all over were universally friendly and helpful. There could be a few additions to the amenities, such as wineglasses and a corkscrew, but overall the hotel is clean, convenient and very good value. A very quick walk over the river to the theatres and Stratford’s town centre. I’ve been here several times before and will be back many more times.

The room was clean and well aired and had a great view beyond the car park. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. The bar was lively on Friday night (there was football on the TV). The breakfast was OK - the items cooked to order were not very big portions. The outside area was very untidy, lots of leaves and debris from the trees that could easily have been swept up. There were 3 very full ashtrays on the tables outside left from the previous evening - not a pretty sight while you are having your breakfast.

Arrived late (10.30pm) to find car park signage poor, wasnt clear where or how to access reception and ended up going through a rear entrance and walking through the hotel to reception. Receptionist was very helpful friendly and explained the usual nice and quickly. Room seemed fine, shower was great - powerful and hot water a plenty. Wifi worked well and there was space to set the laptop up to work on emails etc. Table had a glass top and previous guests had left food deposits under the glass... The walk to breakfast showed a hotel with good bones that needed some tlc and a fresh lick of paint, the staff though, all fantastic and very friendly. Breakfast was a mix of continental and cooked and everything I ate and drank was very nice and fresh.
