Nice place for the price, especially compared to other hotels in Bloomington. Be sure to get a second floor room...they're much nicer. It's not the best hotel in the world, but it does the job for someone who's looking to a place to lay their head rather than a resort.

This hotel is okay. It is close to IUB dorms when you pick up or drop off your kid at college. Shopping and some restaurants are close. WARNING: You want an upstairs room; the quality and cleanliness are much better on the second floor. I always order a balcony room, to ensure I get a room on the 2nd floor BUT Hotels.com doesn't communicate with Travelodge that a balcony room was booked. I have had to take a photo of my reservation to prove that I paid an additional fee for a balcony room. I have even put in the comments on Hotels.com, but Travelodge doesn't get it. ALSO, don't do check-in through Wyndham. You'll get a text asking you to do so, you'll go through a lot of rigmarole, and it amounts to nothing (other than they collect a lot of your personal information and credit card info). Travelodge won't receive it, and you'll have to go through the process all over again at the hotel.

Room was good, only problems were the view (onto a small hill), the closet (just a bar and a shelf, but no hangers, not even hooks), the shower (had only a soapdish, more shelves are better), and the reading light (one side didn't work). But these are small problems. The bed was comfy, the location was good, and the reps were responsive. Breakfast was lacking, but that was expected, as we were told it would be continental. I'm satisfied with the stay and the value.
