I had a fairly poor experience. I stayed two nights over there. My room didn’t have hangers so I asked the front desk to send me hangers and they said they will. The y never sent hangers during my stay! Last morning I had early meeting and I went out early and when I came back to the hotel was 9 am. I asked the front desk when is ending of serving the breakfast and the lady that apparently it was her first day said 10:30 am. So I said I will go and wrap up my luggage and come down for breakfast. I came back at 10:00 am and saw they cleaned up!! I asked the front desk and they said it finished at 10 am!!! I asked if they can have a solution since their statement was misleading, and the supervisor also said i cannot do anything and I need to ask owner of hotel for this simple thing!! I said or , then can you ask? She said he is not available. Without any resolution , I left. Poor management and hospitality

Very kind staff and helpful very friendly with children which is nice they fill welcome great breakfast my husband didn't want to go bad thing you can't take the breakfast to the room for him. bed was a little outdated in the pets room plus deposit was unexpected didn't read that before. Overall great stay pool was fun The evening ladies were very amazing bar tender didn't show and they did their best to make is a drink we felt very welcome

The room was fine. The bathtub and toilet took longer to drain than they should have. They need more than one person at the desk to check people in at 4 pm and out in the morning. The wait to check in was a bit longer than it should have been due to a lot of people checking in right at 4. The bartender was good and the breakfast was very good.

Have stayed at Academy Hotel before with no issues, however the property seems to have degraded lately, a bit run down. AC was inadequate, bed was rock hard, WiFi was pitiful, entire room needs updating. Room was never serviced in five days we stayed, bathroom supplies inadequate. Bright spot was staff, exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel in part because of the advertised on-site restaurant. We learned at check-in that there was now only a bar and no food was served there. When we got to our room, there was only one towel. The lady at the front desk was rude when we went to ask for more towels. I did not get her name but she was wearing an oxygen canula. She said they only service rooms after three full days of stay or when someone checks out. The other ladies at the front desk were super friendly. Our room keys stopped working on the second day of our stay and the staff had trouble reprogramming the keys. We were told that the new owner of the hotel changed the software and it was not working. The best part of all was when we got stuck in the elevator. We pushed the button to call for help. No one answered. Someone was finally able to get the door to open from the outside. I immediately went to the front desk. There was a tall gentleman there with dark hair and a beard that was wearing a suit. He appeared to be handing out checks to staff. I had to wait for him to tell a young lady how pretty her hair was before he acknowledged me. I told him what happened. He said "Oh that must have been what the call was." I said yes, we were stuck in the elevator for several minutes. He acted like I was bothering him but said he would send someone to look at it. Overall, this was a terrible hotel stay.

The room and common areas were clean. The bed was very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, etc.The wifi was good enough for our purposes. The location is good. It was a great deal for the price. I gave it 4 stars because there were some things in the room that were aging and needed replacement, such as a cracked sink, cracked lampshades and curtains. But we would stay there again for the price.

Only lose a star because housekeeping didn't clean the room and I had to go to front desk to ask for fresh towels. And right after I went to front desk, housekeeping showed up and said we are the last room on their route to clean. Well...

Unfortunately it was spring break and there were many children in the pool being very loud. Screaming, running around the common area without adult supervision. 60+ kids in the pool at a time. Very loud and disorderly! There needs to be some noise control in place. We had to go back to our room just to talk. But unfortunately children were running in halls Screaming. Ugh

Hotel is always clean and friendly helpful staff. Breakfast is good. Wish they had bacon and parfait bar but is a good breakfast. Only other thing make this hotel better is a hot tub. Can tell used to be one but is not there now
