Beautiful hotel for the price … large supermarket 2 minutes away was handy with refrigerator in room. 3 minutes to riverwalk, with shops, restaurants & beach ferry. TV’s are a little small for the size of the room and digital reception was poor. Stayed 6 nights and would stay again.

Pros: very clean, large shower room, in room fridge, well furnished, quiet aircon, clean crisp white linen, great large barh sheets. lovely roof top area with unheated plunge pool. Quirky reception/breakfast area. Cons: small tv's with few english channels, tv must be on to use wifi, quite firm beds. Breakfast needs improvement was made up of highly processed cheese and ham slices and didnt enjoy the bread rolls - could be much better with fresh seeded toast, non processed meats and cheese, fresh fruit salad, fruit flavoured yoghurt, cereals and warm crisp bread rolls. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but immediate surrounding area wasnt pretty, would recomnend staying in old town across bridge next time.

Small cozy hotel with rooftop pool

Stayed with the family, rooms are really clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff was really friendly and breakfast was excellent. Would go there again if we come back to Tavira, worth for the money definitely!

4star experience, we could check-in early and relax at the rooftop, the best: free pastries and tea offered all day, rooms large and nicely furbished, excellent restaurant Coisa Linda only 2min walk away, 2min walk to Pingo Doce supermarket and 5min walk to city center, super nice staff

The rooms are large and the bathrooms are huge. The decor in the lobby is unique and attractive. We were given a great continental breakfast every morning. There is a luixurious deck with a pool on the roof.

This is a lovely small hotel, with a great team of staff, every one of them were super friendly and helpful. As a regular traveller I booked this hotel based on the photos and the previous reviews, so don’t be put of by the fact it is shown as a 2 star hotel, I cannot understand how that is the case, it was far nicer than many of the 3 & 4 star hotels I have stayed in. Location is great, a few minutes walk to the town centre. Only negative would be the breakfast. Whilst it was very nice, it was pretty much the same every day, so very repetitive.

Convenient location and very friendly staff. Breakfast is basic but nicely presented. The room was large enough With a small balcony. The bathroom had a good shower, 1 sink and was large but the lighting was terrible. The rooftop plunge pool was nice

Groovy Tavira Hotel

Quirky and stylish boutique hotel in the old town. Wonderful staff. Nice touches - water with fruit slices, teas and pastries. Spectacular rooftop furnished with sofas, day beds and a plunge pool. Supermarket literally around the corner. I'd definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were a good size. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. We particularly enjoyed using the roof terrace which was well-equipped with sun beds and the pool provided welcome relief in the heat. The hotel is situated right next to a good supermarket and a shirt walking distance from the beautiful town.

Authentic Tavira is a quirky hotel with charm. My travel companions and I were able to walk throughout Tavira to experience various points of interest. The room was modest and clean, thanks to the cleaning staff. Now for the disadvantages. Upon arrival, the day- time front desk staff (older woman) was impatient and annoyed in regards to questions/confusions with the check-in process. Instead of being understanding and taking the time to clarify, she got irritated and inhospitable. In order to use the Wifi, you have to keep the television on. It disconencts and glitches once in a while so it's good to have a data plan. The lighting in the room is poorly allocated, especially the bathroom. During the day, the front desk staff is difficult to reach and are not available to guests. There is a pay coffee machine that the guests are not permitted to use on their own. Furthermore, there was no milk/lightener in machine. There is a lack of sound privacy. So if intimacy is your goal, proceed with caution. Be aware, that if you book a cab from the airport through the hotel, you have to pay the taxi directly. One of several confusions not explicitly communicated by the staff. I give the hotel a generous 3 stars but the overall vibe needs work.

Loved the property. The staff went the extra mile to make sure or our stay was pleasant. The breakfast is amazing and much more than we could eat. Unfortunately the bathroom door would not close. I would have thought that was something they would fix over the winter months.

Séjour sympa, hôtel à proximité de tout

2nuits dans cet hôtel, les lits sont confortables et l'hôtel bien placé, à 5-10min à pied de l'embarcadère pour les îles et du centre. Il y a de nombreux restaurants à proximité. L'hôtel est sympa, avec un effort sur la déco. Il y a quelques finitions qui ne sont pas jolies... la rue est passante mais nous n'en avons pas souffert.
