The location was amazing however we felt the price was a little high for what you got. Having to pay an extra £25 per person per day to have access to the spa facilities, at a spa hotel is rediculous to be honest. And having to pay an extra £10 per person per day for a breakfast upgrade also felt a bit unfair, that being said the breakfast was 5* as nice as our stay was I’m not sure we would come back however I would recommend a visit

The communal areas, corridors etc were tired and tun down, washing bags left outside for long periods of time etc. The spa was very relaxing but very expensive compared to other spas. The room was spotless. No bar in the hotel but so we went over to the old Swan. The electric kept tripping which sent plumes of smoke from the fire into the pub. We were glad we didn’t order food as I don’t think we would have got it with the kitchen electrics going down. Lovely setting and grounds. The staff were lovely.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming and the food was amazing. The bedding and towels were lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was tired and although an overhead shower was provided there was no shower curtain which made it impossible to take a normal shower. We stayed in the garden suite as we had the dog with us. The room was ok but a bit tired. Bonus to have two bathrooms! Good and spacious and works for a family. Very frustrating though that there was no phone signal or WiFi available in the room and this wasn’t clear from the outset. And given the cost of the stay, would expect this to be better. Breakfast was mediocre and had to send back to be cooked better but was barely changed. Service was good in the restaurant. Reception staff not quite so good.
