I need to preface this with the fact that I have lived in playa del Carmen for several several years and have been traveling through Playa del Carmen for two decades. If you're looking for a family hotel, this isn't it. If you're looking for a quiet night sleep, book somewhere else, you are directly next to several clubs that stay open till 3-5am. I LOVE HOUSE music but I also would like to be able to sleep without my bed and the photos on the wall vibrating . I booked this trip to meet some friends and show off our new baby. We have been living out of the country for the last year. I specifically booked a bigger room with a private terrace to entertain a few friends for a few hours while everyone meets the baby. At check in I explained this to the concierge and he told me excellent and there were many common areas and a bar and restaurant available as well. When my father arrived to see his granddaughter the security stated right away that NO OUTSIDE VISITORS can enter our room..... WHAT THE WHAT?!?! This isn't some private all inclusive resort with incredible amenities. It's a hotel on 10th Street. I was then told that anyone who wanted to enter for a few hours had to pay $20 a person. Like a "day pass". Absolutely ruined our evening. There was space on the private terrace with a large table for 6. Why else would a one bedroom unit have a table for 6???? There are so many amazing properties in playa del Carmen. This isn't it. Dirty too I've got the pictures

The hotel bellman was super friendly & helpful!! What a great asset to this hotel! We used the rooftop pool & hot tub, both were nice & a good hot tub. Limited lawn chairs but more than usual & there was a big sitting area as well. I wish our room had a microwave. We had a jetted tub but the bathroom lacked privacy for having showers &.changing.

Clean room, great staff, but everything people say about the noise is right - the noise over the weekend is unbearable, at least in rooms facing the street. Bed could be more comfortable (way too soft), bit that's a personal preference. That shouldn't take away from the overall score, though.

Room lovely and spacious but overlooking a building site. Front of house Staff were great, bar man very friendly, made great cocktails 🍸 The noise from the bars were actually overbearing and goes on until 4am. I am sure there is no reason for them to be that loud !! Pool area was good but again noisy from building work.

Super schönes u. sauberes Stadthotel, ideale Lage! Sehr gepflegt und freundliches Personal. In der Nacht hört man die Musik von den Unterhaltungs-Lokale in der Nähe. Sehr unterhaltsam und lebhaft. Excellent accueil. Chambre spacieuse, luxueuse et propre. Jacuzzi sur la terrasse. 2 belles chambres avec salle de bain chacune. Comme notre chambre (num 117) donnait sur la rue, on entendait les musiques des bars. Les chambres donnant sur la cour intérieure sont très calmes. 3 piscines et 2 jacuzzis en roof-top très agréables avec une vue sur Playa del Carmen. Petit-déjeuner au restaurant à côté (Yum-Yum) varié et bon. Un ticket est à récupérer à la reception le matin même. On a bénéficié de 15 € de réduction au bar (équivalent de 2 cocktails). Horaire du bar : 15h - 20h.

Worst hotel stay I have ever had. I checked in expecting a comfortable stay, but the hotel is located directly next to a nightclub with extremely loud music. The noise made it completely impossible to sleep every night, lasting until around 5:00 AM. This is not clearly disclosed in the hotel description, despite multiple previous reviews mentioning the same issue. I contacted the hotel during the night and again during the day, but they stated they could not help and refused to provide any written confirmation. As a result, I was forced to stay for all 5 nights, experiencing 5 sleepless nights. If you are sensitive to noise or planning to sleep at night, I strongly recommend choosing another hotel. I contacted Hotels.com multiple times during my stay to report the issue, but I did not receive effective assistance or a resolution while the problem was ongoing.

I had a beautiful time at the Antera! The hotel itself was stunning and the staff was friendly and attentive, making sure to accommodate anything I needed! I also loved the area the only thing I will say is the music is very loud at night because it’s right by 5th Ave. The pool and hot tub were nice, I really loved having a jacuzzi in my room! The restaurant downstairs Yum Yum was really good and I found a really nice Mexican cuisine restaurant Porfirio was really nice.
