I upgraded my reservation from traditional room to suite with 1 bedroom. The room was clean and well maintained. The only inconvenience we had during our stay was the power tripping in our unit/room. Every time we used the water kettle, power will shut off in the unit, happened 5x (AM and Evening). Staff told us, we can’t use water kettle and the portable AC at the same time which is very unusual for this 3-star hotel rated wonderful on reviews. Breakfast was exceptional, love the ambience, Vista 18 elevated restaurant located on the 18th floor of the Chateau Hotel. Overall, the experience was good.

Great hotel. I stayed there for 5 nights while attending a conference. The conference centre is less than a 5 minutes walk. My room had a separate bedroom, a 2nd bed in the living room, a kitchenette and couch. The balcony wasn't very useful to me, but it was nice to be able to open the sliding door to have fresh air. The room was quite humid, but the dehumidifier in the room took care of that nicely. I would have preferred no 2nd bed and a larger table, but I understand the flexibility of it for other travelers. Bathroom was fine as well with a step in tub/shower. Although they have a sign for responsible use of towels the cleaners changed my towels every day. Great stay!

This hotel is in a great location. Right in back of the Empress Hotel. It is within walking distance to the waterfront which has lots of nice restaurants. The shopping districts are also within walking distance. The room was fabulous! We had a suite which was the size of a small apartment. It was very clean and comfortable.

If you book over 3rd parties sites then they do not guarantee the room set up (we wanted a king bed instead of 2 queens that were definitely smaller than queen). The thermostat didn’t work and it was really hot at night. It wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t come back either.

We had a great stay. Only off putting was housekeeping. I felt the room wasn’t totally clean at check in. There are some dirt on the sofa bed (hair, glitter and some red dried out something) and the fridge have some pieces of food (not huge). I didn’t ask for room change because we arrived with a sleeping tiny human and I am already very grateful we were granted early check in. Housekeeping came in knocking next day to clean. On check out day, we’re granted late checkout (greatly appreciated) but housekeeping already knocking before time’s up. In the end, we ended past the time because my husband felt he need to start hauling things down but ended up spending more time loading in car and not being able to get back up since keycard lost elevator access. The hotel is in great location, very walkable to shops and attractions. There’s a nice playground not far of a walk too so my little one had a blast. The pool was also great, it’s a little cold and the hot tub is very hot. Front desks are way too friendly and smiley I felt uncomfortable lol. Room was spacious enough for us. I’m just disappointed, I requested a room facing Burdett ave because I thought I can let my kid people watch but found out Superior room’s balcony is not glass so she can’t really see anything other than birds flying by - my fault for not looking properly at photos. I should book a different type of suite next time. Overall it’s a great hotel and we’ll consider going back.
