Neat stay, the beds were okay, the ac works very well! We enjoyed our room overall, we didn’t try the restaurant cause it was busy but we ordered from Black Bear Diner and all had breakfast for dinner, it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

While everything was clean, and the themed room was cute, it was missing a few things. And these can well be overlooked for the amount paid for the room. We had swinging doors between closet/bathroom area. Yws, they were cute, but they were spring loaded, not the kind you can prop open. You had to go through the squeaky doors every single time. Even in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom. The window had shutters, which helped with the western sun in the late afternoon/evening. There were no hooks...at all. Nowhere in the bathroom. Could have helped to have a luggage rack in the closet, but I just used the desk. There are a handful of hangers in the closet.Great location next to the restaurant. It's definitely worth the price. I would return again if in the area.

The room was fairly clean, and it was quiet. But....we could not get the television/cable system to work at all. If we wanted/needed to see newscasts, entertainment TV shows or movies, we had to use our phones for that. There was no closet in the room, and only 2 drawers available for clothing. There was no luggage rack to set an opened suitcase on for clothing storage. The 2 wooden chairs were uncomfortable. The refrigerator was not level, and it felt as though the door was loose. Other than that, yeah, it was okay. There is no breakfast provided by the inn, but for a walk across the parking lot to the steak house, breakfast is available for a fair price. Parking was great. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

The bathroom in our room was horrible! The tub was an old broken down jetted tub with moldy caulking. The old jets were closed up by messy white caulking. The original valve was hanging out of the wall of the tub and if you touched it- it fell off in your hands with 3” of copper pipe attached to it. The ceiling was stained and cracked and peeling paint. The fan did not work in the bathroom. The shutters were not aligned making the room bright and the door had a wide gap underneath it. The cleaning staff should be ashamed of this room by not reporting it to be repaired! I have stayed here many times as I pass through Amarillo and after this stay … I don’t believe I will be coming back!! I tried to get a refund through Hotels.com but they couldn’t help me. We didn’t notice the bathroom until after dinner and we left early. I didn’t have time to contact the desk… very disappointed this time… this room needs to be repaired properly!

Very clean rooms, staff is great. The Big Texan restaurant serves some of the best steaks in Texas. Always cook3d to perfection with reasonable prices. Family friendly and right across the parking lot from the motel. They brew their own beer which is served ice cold. The rooms are on the noisy side, but livable. Pet friendly also..nice little dog area.

We had a great experience at the Texan Hotel. It’s full of character and has that classic Route 66 novelty that makes your stay feel special and memorable. The room was comfortable, and the overall vibe was fun and unique. One of the best parts was being able to walk to a nearby restaurant—super convenient after being on the road all day. A great choice if you’re looking for something a little different from a standard hotel.

I paid for a deluxe room and got a standard room. The photos of the room did not look like the room I got. There was no nice cow hide rug on the floor. The walls were all plywood with scrawled signatures all over. The bathtub had dirty stains on the bottom. My children’s feet were black after taking off their shoes. The bath faucet was leaking and dripped all day and night.
