"This hidden gem was just a short drive into the heart of the Barcelona City Center. They had unquestionably the best and most helpful front desk staff of any hotel in which I've ever stayed. They helped get tix we needed, arranged all our cab rides (including a 3:30 AM shuttle to the airport), and every restaurant recommendation they made was spot on. The room was very large and very comfortable. I would be hard pressed not to stay here again on any future trip to Barcelona."

"Friendly and helpful staff, quiet area that is across the street from Barcelona University. 10 euro taxi ride to sagrada familia. Diagonal Street is OK. more shops as you get closer to downtown. Good breakfast area. 5 Euros for a croissant and coffee which is standard throughout Spain."

"We had a great stay at the Torre Melina hotel. Clean room, comfy bed and bellows, daily supply of complementary water, coffee and tea. Breakfast was included in room rate and it was excellent. Location was great for us, walking distance from Camp Nou, but also 5 minutes walk from underground station, L9 Sud connect you to airport which is very handy as well as the L3 to the city centre. Can’t forget the great staff. Overall great experience."

"Although far from the center of town, this hotel have a wonderful quiet reprieve from the madness of Barcelona in August. I took public transportation everywhere, buses and metro nearby and very easy to use. The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was large and quiet, only thing the bathroom needed a little redo, but besides that I am so happy with my choice to stay here!!"

"Large terrace with table, chairs and loungers. Room clean and well equipped. Metro station a few steps away. Lots of local amenities on doorstep. We arrived after reception was closed and was a bit if confusion with check in but apart from that everything was good"

"We were only there for one night but the beds are very comfortable and the place was clean and spacious. Location was convenient with the metro stop nearby. So nice to have a Nespresso machine, shelf stable creamer and a large bottle of water included. We didn’t use it but washing tablets for laundry was also available. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Gran Derby. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We didn't go by the pool, but it a lot of guest were utilizing it. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I personally loved the black out shades, which helped with my jet lag. A lot of small dining options nearby and everything is walkable. Looking for to coming back. "
