"As the last stop on our 2 week Japan journey, it was mildly disappointing to end with this accommodation. This property is dated, likely untouched since the 1998 olympics. The onsen has seen better days! The staff were friendly and great service at breakfast and checkin and check out. With a little update this hotel would be awesome. Snow monkeys are worth the trip! "

"This was such a beautiful little getaway for a few days relaxing in a traditional Japanese style accomodation with onset! The staff were incredibly lovely and accommodating, especially for my partner who has a lot of food allergies (so they quickly replanned all the amazing food courses for him!). Such a great start to our trip to Japan."

"The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. "Lovely property, secluded but good shuttle options to ski field (less than 5 mins) and twice daily to Karuizawa. Staff were friendly - used Google translate as there were not many western travellers. Amazing Onsens - all gender seperate apart from private but open 24 hours. Food was great - and a shop for snacks, souvenirs and drinks. Great for winding down and experiencing the snow and small field close by."
