"What a beautiful little garden gem near the Palace of Fine Arts! Older motel that has been cleaned and upgraded without losing the vintage charm. Staff was very warm, welcoming and fun! Small room in a garage apartment setting that was simply charming and delightful. The gardens were beautiful and lush and well cared for. Parking is rough for larger modern cars and was a challenge to get in and out of but come on, it was parking in San Francisco! Convenient and close to coffee houses,...

"The Riu Fisherman's Wharf was everything we needed: one block from the Wharf, a short 2 blocks to Ghirardelli Square, and convenient to satisfy the reason for our stay - the Monet and Venice exhibition at the de Young Museum. Something we rarely do - had breakfast everyday of our stay in SF at the Riu... and everyday it was excellent!"

The hotel’s parking is underground and spaces are tight between large cement pillars. The room was clean. This was a good value in an away from touristy part of the Marina district. Some street noise, but this can be expected. All in all a good value for a basic stay in San Francisco. "
